Seasoning Requirements Are a Fannie Mae Rule: Not a DSCR Rule
In April 2023, Fannie Mae extended the seasoning requirement for conventional investment property cash-out refinances to 12 months. This locked capital in properties for a full year before investors could recycle it: effectively cutting BRRRR deal velocity in half.
